Both Anthropods have their own hot tub for your exclusive use. They are electric hot tubs and will be ready to use on arrival. They do not require use of
logs.

We’re sorry, but pets are not permitted for Anthropod bookings.

The Anthropod sleeps a maximum of two adult guests. We are an adults-only retreat (18+).

No — our site is exclusively for guests aged 18 and over, making it ideal for romantic escapes and peaceful getaways.

Ben Cleugh has a double bed and Whitewisp has a king size bed.

Yes — each Anthropod has its own private wet room with shower and toilet facilities.

There is no oven; however, there is a two-ring hob and microwave for your convenience.

We provide pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and essentials such as cooking oil, salt, and pepper.

Yes — there is a dining table and chairs within the kitchenette area.

There is no sofa; however, comfortable dining seating is provided.

There is a table on your private decking suitable for disposable BBQs.

The nearest public transport links are approximately 1.5 miles from the site.

We’re ideally located in central Scotland, around 35 minutes from Edinburgh, 40 minutes from Glasgow and 25 minutes from Stirling, with a wide range of attractions, dining, countryside walks, and cultural experiences nearby. More detailed information can be found in our information room onsite. We’re ideally located in central Scotland, within very easy reach of:

We are also located on National Cycle Route 76, making us an excellent base for cyclists.

To ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and to prepare both the Anthropod and hot tub for incoming guests, we’re unable to offer early check-in or late check-out.

We are an adults-only site, welcoming guests aged 18 and over to maintain a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere.

There are three toilets available for guest use year-round.

To balance comfort with fair pricing, your pitch fee includes a daily allowance of the first 10kWh (£5) of electricity.

• Is 10kWh enough? Absolutely! This generous allowance is designed to cover all your daily essentials—including your fridge, lighting, water pump, and charging your leisure battery. Most guests find this is more than enough for a standard, comfortable stay at no extra cost.
• What if I use more? For high-drain energy needs (such as running electric heaters), any usage over 10kWh is metered at cost. This “pay-for-what-you-use” approach allows us to keep our base pitch rates lower for everyone, rather than implementing a site-wide price increase.
• Why do we do this? It is the fairest way to manage rising energy costs while encouraging environmentally conscious travel.
• How do I track it? You can easily monitor your real-time consumption and remaining credit through the CampaVolt app. Simply check the usage section at the bottom of the app screen for total peace of mind throughout your stay.

Our pit-stop facilities are available exclusively to guests who have booked a pitch. We do not offer a separate drive-in pit-stop service.

Yes – from the AA (Automobile Association) the touring pitches have an AA 4* rating offering excellent facilities and comfortable, high-quality experience. The certificate can be seen in our information room.

Yes — there are beautiful country walks accessible straight from the campsite, suitable for both leisurely strolls and longer walks, with or without dogs.
