Electricity usage
Please be kind to our Mother Earth and at the same time help keep small private campsites going. The choice is yours to make.
Electric vehicle (EV) charging is not permitted using any campsite hook-ups, glamping pod outlets, or other on-site electrical facilities. These systems are not designed for EV charging and doing so may create safety risks or cause electrical damage. Guests must use designated public EV charging stations off-site. There are some good Apps such as “Zap Maps” that tell you where the closest public EV charging stations are. There will be a fine of £70 if found doing this on site.
The average household in the UK uses from 8.5 to 10 kWh per day.
A 10 kWhs (£5) allocation is included in each nightly pitch fee e.g., if 3 nights are booked then the allocation given is 30kWhs (£15). There is a top up meter, in each hook-up, controlled by an App which you can download to your phone by QR code or typing in the website address. The App will allow you to check how much credit you have, allow you to add credit and it also displays your usage. It can be used anytime, anywhere and is recommended by the Caravan & Motorhome Club and many campsites around the UK already have this system.
